Who we are
MR Motion rents mobility scooters, wheelchairs and rollators throughout the Netherlands. The aids are ours, and we deliver and pick them up ourselves.
01Our story
We rent mobility aids to people who need them for a while: after an operation, during a recovery, or for a trip where a lot of walking would be too much.
We are based near Amsterdam. The aids are ours, we maintain them ourselves and we bring them round ourselves. That removes a link in the chain, and it means you deal with the same people from booking to pickup.
02Our mobility aids
We rent four kinds:
- Foldable mobility scooters, light enough to take in a car.
- Heavy-duty mobility scooters, with more range and more comfort for longer trips.
- Wheelchairs.
- Rollators.
Every aid goes through the same check when it comes back: charged, cleaned and inspected. Only once it has passed does it go back into the rental fleet. That is why something occasionally disappears from the site for a while: it has not been checked yet.
03How delivery and pickup work
You choose your dates and your town online, and you see right away what it costs and whether it is free.
After you book we call you to agree the day and the time. We deliver throughout the Netherlands at fixed fees; for rentals from 6 weeks, delivery is free.
At the end of the period we pick it up again. You do not have to mail anything or bring anything back.
04How renting from us works
You pay when you book, online by iDEAL or card, and nothing after that: we ask no deposit. Every rental comes with damage and theft insurance; it is a separate line on your booking and means that damage or theft does not cost you the price of a new one. The terms say exactly what it covers.
A mobility scooter is rented by the week or for four weeks; a wheelchair or a rollator also for a weekend, from Saturday until Sunday at the latest. If you need something for less than a week, you pay for a week and simply keep the aid for the whole week.
Once the payment is in, the aid is yours for those dates and nobody else can rent it. Cancel well in advance and you get everything back; the terms give the time limits.
05Where we deliver
Throughout the Netherlands, from Groningen to Maastricht: to your home, to a hospital or rehabilitation centre, to a hotel or holiday park, and to the five Dutch airports, where we meet you in the arrivals hall. Amsterdam and the towns around it have their own fee, and so do the five airports; one flat fee applies to the rest of the country.
